I was testing some new equipment and trying out the new Mac OSX Mountain Lion so I decided to shoot a bit while in Idaho. I was super bummed that Mountain Lion is not compatible with Parallels since I currently run Windows XP as a dual boot system for a few side programs. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until after I had already installed the system so I guess I'll be waiting a bit before I can use everything. The second problem that I had was dealing with Capture One, the software that I primarily use while shooting on location tethered. They have a bit of catching up to do and it was rendered...

For our final day we decided to do a little bit of shopping to pick up some souvenirs and other trinkets we might want. Rob was on a hunt for flowers so we found China Town as well as a large flower market. I was blown away by the variety of colors as well as types in this little area. One trinket that we found in the market was what I thought was a small stapler but after two ladies demonstrated the tool it turned out to be a small sewing machine! You could hem your own clothes while you waited for the bus! After that we packed up our stuff, checked out, and made the 1.5 day journey of jumping...

After a day of riding the streets we decided to trade the bikes in and get some 250 dirt bikes and venture up into the hills. We headed to the mountain of Dui Sothep hoping to find trails running off from there. After half a day of exploring and hitting several dead ends we decided to call it quits. The following day after talking to some of the locals and getting pointed in the right direction we found ourselves north of Chiang Mai by about 6km riding around a lake hitting some sweet trails winding through the jungle. After a short flight from Bangkok to Northern Thailand we arrived in Chiang Mai. A much smaller city with a hint of a country feel we decided to rent a couple motorcycles and head up to a town called Pai (pronounced "bye").
